What we offer
ADULT ART CLASSES
Adult classes are taught through individual projects and are skills - based. These adult art classes are specifically designed for beginners and improvers, but more experienced students are very welcome too as each student works at a pace and level that is suitable for their experience and ability. All our classes are fun, friendly and relaxed and we look forward to welcoming you to our community of like-minded, creative people of all ages.
These classes are designed to be attended regularly, so that you can build up your skills and creative confidence little by little. We begin with a calm 5 minute activity before getting stuck into the main project work.
If you are looking for a one-off class, have a look to see if any workshops will be running soon.
Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday morning classes focus on watercolours and drawing. All materials are provided.
TEEN ART CLASSES
Teen art classes are delivered through a 6 week course of consecutive 1 hour classes alongside each half term. These classes are experimental in nature, exposing children to a wide variety of high quality media and are taught via projects, with skills, techniques and theory building week on week.
The teen art courses are suitable for children aged 12-15 and deal with more advanced techniques whilst still being taught in a fun and experimental manner. These courses run after school during term time on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
OUTDOOR ART CLASSES
Have you ever tried drawing or painting 'en plein air'? If you'd like to give this a go, then you will love to try one of our fun art classes for adults that take place outside! They are suitable for beginners and run in small groups for personalised tutoring.
1-1 TUITION - ADULTS
Learning is personalised to your individual needs and wishes, by teaching you what you would like to learn, letting you guide the content of the sessions.
Picasso said, 'Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once you grow up.'
WORKSHOPS
As an experienced teacher, I am available for workshops; I can come to you or I can cater for groups up to 10 in my studio. I can deliver a session on any topic of your choice and tailor it specifically to the individuals attending - if you are looking for a unique party, a workshop for colleagues or for a community interest group, then please get in touch to find out more.
1-1 TUITION - CHILDREN
As a former Head of Art, I have experience guiding Secondary School Students through both GCSE and Art A-Levels. I can work closely with your child to improve skills, develop ideas for project work (coursework modules) and find artists/movements to influence your work but I am also able to work with younger children who have a special interest in all things creative.
